Uttarey is a small town located near Nepal located in West Sikkim. It is about 30kms away from the famous tourist destinations of Pelling. Uttarey is well-known among tourists because of the peaceful nature of the region and the many vacation spots in and around. From the highest points of Uttarey slopes, a view of the enormous mountain Kanchenjunga is visible.
In the west area of Sikkim It is possible to reach Uttarey via Pelling and Dentum. While traveling, you'll traverse Singshore Bridge, said to be the second most impressive stretch of road in Asia. In elevation, Uttarey is 6600 feet.
Uttarey is known for its peace and regular quality. It offers a stunning view of the Himalayan Mountains that are still unexplored. This allows for a calmer air to enjoy. In winter, the mountains around here are covered in snow, which gives breathtaking views.

The KAGYU THE MONASTERY
The Kagyu Monastery located in Uttarey is a deeply revered site of love and devotion for the locals and a good spot to explore. The cloister is situated amid vast timberland. The art of dividing works in the church is regarded as a major point of interest by the people who live here. The site is about 10 minutes from Titanic stop, and is situated on the slope. The monastery was established in 1711 and is among the oldest and most popular monasteries in Sikkim. The monastery's structure has been renovated and is nothing like the 1711-era structure which you'll have the chance to view here.
The TENZING HILLARY MEMORIAL PARK
The recreation centre was opened in 2015 to increase the excitement of Uttarey. The route that leads to the center isn't as well-maintained but it's a good idea regardless of whether you visit it for stunning views of the area. Amazing panoramas of Kanchenjunga range are visible from this location on a clear morning. Statues can be seen of two incredible climbers in this area.
THE TITANIC PARK
A stateroom of the famous Ship is being developed near the principal market of Uttarey. The building is not open, but it is an excellent spot to snap photographs.
TROUT FARM
The farm for trout is two kilometers in distance from Uttarey town. There are numerous established lakes where trout fish can be seen in large numbers. The surrounding area is serene and tranquil, and you might think it is worth investing some time in the vicinity of the waterway which is adjacent to the farm.
MAINBASS WATERFALL
This is a beautiful cascade located close to Uttarey which is accessible on foot. The water falls are about 7 km away from Uttarey town. You must travel on the west-bound street of Uttarey that leads to an angling farm. From here, a 5km walk through the forest trail will lead the visitor towards Mainebass Falls. The outdoors close to the cascade is also an ideal spot for an unwinding.
