Traveling from India to Bhutan
By Air
Bhutan's sole international airport is in Paro. Direct flights are available from major Indian cities such as Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, and Bagdogra. Druk Air and Bhutan Airlines operate these routes. Given your location in Siliguri, Bagdogra Airport (approximately 15 km away) is the most convenient departure point.
By Road
The most common land entry is through Phuentsholing, a Bhutanese town bordering Jaigaon in West Bengal. From Siliguri, it's about a 4-hour drive to Phuentsholing. Once there, you can obtain an entry permit to visit cities like Thimphu and Paro. For destinations beyond these, a special area permit is required, which can be obtained in Thimphu. Book your Car from DBS travels - Bagdogra Airport or NEW JALPAIGURI STATION TO JAIGAON
